"Boom Boom" Mancini and Bob Connolly

Talk about legends of railroading. Here are two of the best. Conductors Bobby "Boom Boom" Mancini (now retired and residing on Federal Hill in Providence) and Bob Connolly. "Boom Boom" was and still is fondly remembered for his antics, including leaving his restaurant on Federal Hill in the middle of the day wearing pants covered with flour from the pizza dough to conduct a train to NY.

Conductor Eddie Welsh

Eddie is another one of them quiet, good guys who just goes out there day in and day out doing his job and getting it done.

T-Time on the "Little A"
Southampton Street Yard, Boston

The "purple line" trains carry hundreds of thousands of people in and out of Boston all week long. They may not be as flashy as the "Big A" jobs but they provide a valuable and dependable service to the many commuters who depend on them.
