Amtrak #171 is just west of the Fort Point Channel Bridge on "The Midland" en route to New York City and Washington, DC.	Freshly painted Amtrak CF-7 sits in New Haven Motor Storage in the summer of 1990. These locomotives were rebuilt by the Santa Fe Railway and traded to Amtrak for SDP40fs.
Amtrak #449 sits in Springfield, Massachusetts during the spring of 2001. After picking up mail, express, baggage and passengers, the train will continue west where it will join #49 in Albany and follow "The Water Level Route" to Chicago.
