The X-2000 made test runs between Boston and Washington DC.
Shown here on the right at New Haven, CT, some of the technology used in this
train was eventually incorporated into the ACELA trainsets. Some wish the entire
X-2000 concept had been chosen instead of the problematic equipment we ended up
with.
